Invoice certificate is a piece of printed or written matter issued by a seller to the buyer for the purpose of shipment of goods or items. Basically, there are two types of invoice used for the purpose of shipment or import & export of goods to foreign country.

A. Commercial Invoice:Commercial invoice is a detailed invoice describing the details of shipper & receiver information along with other specifics such as date of sale, terms of sale, quantity sold, details of goods & packaging, unit value of goods as well as the total value of goods along with the shipping & insurance cost etc.

B. Shipping Invoice:It is a general accounting document which comprises the list of items issued by one individual or company to the other. It includes the details of the sending party as well as the receiving party.

Attestation Process:The legalization of commercial or shipping invoice certificate can be executed only if the invoice certificated has been raise by Indian origin Company. The attestation of commercial/shipping invoice includes three basic procedure. First the invoice certificate will be attested by Chamber of Commerce. Then the commercial Invoice attestation will be done from MEA. And finally it will be legalized from the concerned country Embassy.
